This Privacy Policy describes how Neoeyes ("we," "our," or "us"), operated by Serow Softworks, collects, uses, and handles your information when you use the Neoeyes mobile application and related services.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password (stored as a secure hash). Your identity is never displayed publicly to other users.

Uploaded Content

When you upload images through Neoeyes, we collect and store the image itself along with associated metadata, including the GPS coordinates at the time of capture and a timestamp. This location data is displayed publicly on the map and is core to how Neoeyes works.

Usage Data

We may collect:

• Crash reports and performance diagnostics
• Aggregate usage statistics (views, acknowledgements received)
• Device type and operating system version

How We Use Your Information

• To operate the platform and display your uploads on the public map
• To provide you with private stats on your reach and influence
• To review uploaded content for policy violations (see Content Moderation below)
• To enforce rate limits and prevent abuse
• To improve stability, performance, and features
• To send you notifications you have opted into

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

Content Moderation

All uploaded images are automatically reviewed using Google Cloud Vision SafeSearch before becoming publicly visible. Images flagged by automated review may be held for additional human review. Content that violates our Terms of Service may be removed and the associated account may be suspended or banned. Flagged content is retained in a secured, non-public storage environment as required for legal compliance purposes, including mandatory reporting obligations.

Third-Party Services

Neoeyes uses the following third-party services, each of which operates under its own privacy policy:

• Google Cloud Storage — image storage
• Google Cloud Vision — automated content moderation
• Mapbox — map rendering
• Sentry — crash and error reporting

Account Deletion and Data Retention

You may delete your account at any time from within the app. When you delete your account, your email address and all personal account information are permanently removed from our systems.

Images you uploaded prior to deletion will remain on the platform, detached from your account and displayed without any identifying information. This is consistent with Neoeyes' mission to maintain a persistent, location-indexed visual record. Retained images are fully anonymized and cannot be linked back to you.

Children's Privacy

Neoeyes is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we will promptly delete it. For more information, please see our Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) Policy.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page. Continued use of Neoeyes after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
